This monkey is smaller than most sock monkeys as she was originally a terrible mistake.
I was just half paying attention, and cut into the wrong end of the sock for the legs. I
didn't even notice until the legs were all sewn up and then the poor thing had a great
gaping hole for a head.
My son cried "Destroy it!" and I actually chucked it in the unfinished basket
for a while. (Normally nothing that ends up in the basket ever comes out.)
I liked the socks a lot though, and was really angry at myself for screwing up a simple
sock monkey, so I just sewed her head as best I could and she ended up really cute!
However, she has a really foul disposition, which I attribute to sitting in a stuffed animal corpse basket with her head hanging open for several weeks. She bites everyone that sits next to her on the shelf except for the Ron doll, and I even caught her trying to choke him once.
She's a bit of a show off, and has a love of gymnastics and cheerleading. She's so darn cute. Just extremely violent.
