Elf Boots

A nice present for your doll

These little boots are easy to hand sew.

You need a very small amount of felt, sewing thread, and miniature pom-poms.

I glued the pom-poms on and they fell off within a few wearings.
Maybe if your Blythes are less active than mine, or if you use a better kind of glue (I used generic white school glue. We have a really alarming amount of this stuff around here. I think my son filled his backpack with all his classmate's leftover glue on the last day of school last year.) your poms will stay on longer.
Sewing on a bead, sequin, or tiny bell would look really cute as well.

Here is the pattern:

Elf boot pattern

Save it to your computer and print it out.  It should print out to the correct size, but just make sure your printer is set to 100% scale, and not "fit to page" or any other scale.

Using felt, cut out four sides and two soles.
Using two sides, start at the top of the ankle in the back, hold two sides together and whip stitch them together down the back until you get to the bottom of the heel.

Hold the rounded part of the sole against one side of the bottom of the boot, and whip stitch it to the side, up to where the sole ends, below the pointy toe of the boot.

Now, hold the pointy parts of the toe together and whip up the point of the toe, then back down the front of the boot, to about where the front of the ankle would be.

Sew the rest of the sole to the side and sew or glue on your chosen embellishment.
Sew up the other boot and give them to your doll.
